About Keri
"I said in my heart,
I am sick of four walls.
I have need of the sky,
I have business with the grass."
-Richard Hovey, 1896
As an independent Photographer and Creative Consultant, I specialize in Photojournalism, Travel & Landscape Photography, Portrait Photography, Shoot Production, Photo Direction & Editing and Prop Styling. I’ve held key positions at major publishing houses that included Photo Director for Hearst’s first weekly publication – Quick & Simple, Photo Director for Woman’s Day and Photo Editor for Disney Adventures.
Travel has been an important part of my life for as long as I can remember. My philosophy is that every place, big or small, offers something worth exploring. Each experience from an early age brought excitement and reward. By the time I was eight, trips with my family spanned the entire Eastern Seaboard. Some of my greatest joys were found the summer after my senior year of college, when I traversed the United States in my Volkswagen. This experience of connecting with nature provided an opportunity to share Earth’s raw beauty with others through my photography & set the tone for the style of my work that continues today.
I hold a Bachelors of Science in Visual Communications with an emphasis in Commercial Photography and a minor in Art History from the University of Delaware. After graduation, I moved to New York City where I lived for 16 1/2 years. Currently I reside in the beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina.
